I'm sure criminals and murders will comply. Good job.

As a resident of Virginia since 1983, I am appalled at the direction our leadership has taken over the years. Everyone approves of safety and security, but pandering to Bloomberg's gun ban group isn't the way to get it. I understand he filled the governors coffers and some favors are owed, but don't take it out on the residents of Virginia. I guess you didn't happen to notice that Maryland and DC which already have onerous gun laws have worse violent crime statistics than Virginia? This executive order will do nothing for public safety. Anyone meaning to do people harm will SIMPLY IGNORE IT. All it does is ensure that when they do, there won't be any armed, law abiding citizens around to do anything about it. Don't let the need to "do something" about gun violence supercede common sense people. Not only will this not make anyone safer, it's got potential to make people LESS safe. Please stop emulating our president with gross overreaches of executive authority. If you want a law like this, let the PEOPLE vote on it. What are you afraid of? If the majority of the people do not want it, you have no business forcing it down their throats as an executive order.
