Don't Make Government Buildings Gun-Free Targets For Terrorists

The Governor's non-authorized proposed regulation to ban guns on government property may have a bad effect and make it a target for terrorist since they know areas with no guns make easy targets. I oppose his proposal.  We have had no shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on those with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without any justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives.

Texas has proven that good citizens with guns makes for safer areas, why make a regulation that may make a safe zone into an unsafe zone by the removal of protective guns.  I feel sure the Governor's guards will be packing guns, if he wants this regulation then remove the guns from his guards. Plus, the General  Assembly has not given the Governor the authority to make this regulation, he's overstepping his bounds and needs to be drawn back.

This regulation endangers state employees, law abiding citizens, and the innocent by making state buildings a safe zone for terrorists, criminals, and the criminally insane to conduct their evil and savage actions and should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
