This regulation - that would establish numerous 'Gun Free Zones' statewide & which would reduce and in some cases eliminate the ability of the common man/woman to resist evil in a moments notice - is a very bad idea.

All but two of the public massacres since 1950 have been committed by criminals and terrorists in 'Gun Free Zones' - which is exactly what this regulation creates statewide.

This is precisely what the terrorists, violent criminals and the criminally insane are looking for - soft targets, or 'Gun Free Zones' where there are numbers of people present, that have few or no means of stopping them.

There is NO precedent for this regulation - we have had NO shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on people with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives!

Good citizens are the only ones likely to obey this prohibition, and that will NOT make anyone (but the bad guy) safer.

This regulation endangers state employees, law abiding citizens, and the innocent by establishing state buildings a 'safe zone' for terrorists, criminals, and the criminally insane to carry out their evil and savage actions.

Thank you for the opportunity to comment, as a citizen of Virginia I hold the future of our great nation close to my heart. We need to do all within our power to stop evil 'in its' tracks'.

This regulation should NOT be approved - and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
