Good afternoon,  Unless I've missed something I'm not familar with any gun violence in any VA government buildling.  I'm also not aware of any misuse of firearms by any VA concealed carriers in any VA government buildling.  Therefore, "safety" is pure hypothetical and should be the basis of VA State Police.    I reject this trampling of citizen and off duty police right of self protection without due process and convincing policy argument.
