This Regulation is Dangerous to Public Safety

The proposed regulation would have the opposite effect intended and would play into the hands of terrorists, violent criminals and the criminally insane. Disarming the population would only affect the law-abiding citizens because criminals obviously don't obey the law. If our governor is so against guns why does he go EVERYWHERE with an armed security detail? Is his life more important that those of my family and myself? Obviously he thinks it is. Disarming the good guys would only embolden the bad guys since there would be nobody to stop them and they would be able to do anything they wanted, the police can only be in so many places at the same time. This regulation even goes so far as to call for the disarmament of "Off Duty" police officers while they are on State Owned property, the same police officers which have sworn to protect us and have bad guys trying to hurt them. What better way to get good police officers hurt and killed than to take their weapons away from them.

All but two of the public massacres have taken place in "Gun Free Zones" which is what this proposal is creating, more gun free zones where criminals and terrorists can slaughter innocent men, women and children without worry of losing their own life in the process.
