I am writing to ask that you not midify, repeal, or weaken 12VAC5-412 Regulations for the Licensure of Abortion Facilities.  As a registered nurse I am concerned that any surgical procedure could be performed in an unlicensed, unregulated facility.  These rules were well thought out and were put in place to ensure the safety of women.  Weakening these regulations could put the life of Virginia women in jeopary.  Your job as Director of Licensure and Certification is precisely to ensure safety.  I ask again that you not weaken or modify these regulations.
