According to the Center for Disease Control abortion is one of the safest medical procedure in the United States. These regulations that are under consideration are not going to make abortion any safer which is already very safe. If you look at complication statistics of all kinds of outpatient surgery you will see that abortion is safe. What the Commonwealth of Virginia is contemplating is not about the health of women but about the anti-abortion sentiments of legislators.
