The TRAP regulations are unwarranted, overreaching, and likely unconstitutional.  Unfortunately, they have been promulgated.  This is an end-run on constitutionally protected rights, particularly the right to privacy and Roe v. Wade.  

If current facilities aren't grandfathered in, the specious aim of the regulations (not that which has been voiced as the aim) will be victorious and hand people a victory in a battle that's being waged through improper channels via onerous regulation. 

Short of getting rid of these regulations altogether, the only proper thing to do would be to grandfather in existing facilities until these regulations can be thrown out forever and properly.
