This petition is so obviously a strawman and Trojan horse. Its easy for people to draw unrest in the general population by posing theoretically dangerous situations that are so impossibly unlikely to happen. There's a reason that ONLY trans women are mentioned in the petition, this is not only an attack on trans women but women as a whole (because trans women ARE women). This will not benefit anyone except for those who wish to have control over other people. Their oppression starts with something that seems to hit close to home when in reality is only serves as a way for them to get their foot in the legislative door. You give an inch, they take a mile. It won't stop at sports, which only affects an extremely miniscule portion of the population in the first place, they'll use the momentum to try and keep trans people out of public bathrooms and will continue to petition for worse. Don't give them this momentum. Trans people are humans just the same as everyone else. Attacks like this are the reason that the trans suicide rate is so high, not because people regret their decision to transition. Making people's lives excruciatingly difficult for no reason causes pain and anguish for something as basic as trying to live a normal life. This is oppression at its core and nothing else.
