Menhaden are a valuable food source for fish, animals, and birds in the Chesapeake Bay.  They are NOT a people food source. We need to leave the food chain in the Bay alone. Menhaden fishing can take place in the Atlantic.  There is heavy recreational use in the Bay, and keeping any purse seining at least a mile off all shores is safer for everyone.
