Higher standards of care for animals in pet stores and stronger penalties for violators

Good day!

With respect to the above referenced subject, please consider revamping the laws for pet stores to be the same, if not stronger than those of a public or private animal shelter.  Pet stores are contributing to the puppy and kitty mills across the country and realitically should be banned from selling any animal as the majority of them do not care for the animals properly, most ending up being put to sleep because they are too ill to recover or just die in the stores from neglect.

This is cruel and again only contributes to the mills breeding more and more. Please help these poor little souls by protecting them under the law.

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards,

Patricia Diolazo
