It would be ok to keep the IR's if the rules were simple. The client is sent the IR from the state. They either fill it out and send it back or the case closes. PERIOD. Because of all the work the workers have to do with these, it takes more time than it would take to do a recertification. As it is now, if the boxes are not marked, the worker has to send it back. If it's not signed, the worker has to send it back. If verificaitons are not attached, the worker has to send it back. It should be filled out by the client and signed correctly or the case should be closed. It should be that simple. These EW's are extremely overworked and anything that can be put in place to help them ease the load and benefit the client would be great. Either that or just give everyone a year cert period. SNAP has made it so that the client doesn't have to report anything anyway. Why have an Interim?
