Dear Sir or Madam:
It is my considered, and strongly held, opinion that concealed weapon carry in VA state forests should be legalized. Citizens who have undergone a background check, etc., to legally carry in the Commonwealth of VA should not be forbidden to carry in a state forest. It makes no sense to prevent legal concealed carry in a state forest, when the licensed carry individual is considered acceptable to carry in essentially all the rest of the state. What happens to change a CW permit holder when he or she enters a state forest that would disqualify them for carrying? Nothing changes, of course. This regulation needs to be amended: Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
