NO MANDATES!

I am very concerned with this petition recommending COVID 19 vaccine mandates for our K-12 students.  CDC data demonstrates that the risk of severe illness or death resulting from contracting COVID in children younger than age 17 is lower than a typical flu season yet we don't mandate flu vaccines.  The risk in developing adverse reactions from the COVID vaccine is more concerning and appears to be more prevalent in children younger than 17.  Just today the FDA is announcing a delay on approving the Moderna vaccine for young children due to studies showing an increase in teenagers developing myocarditis from the vaccine.  The NIH has also issued a grant of $2mm to determine the impacts to menstruation/fertility resulting from taking the vaccine.  Typically where there is smoke there is fire.  I will not be subjecting my children to an unproven vaccine that carries greater risk of harm than COVID itself.  I will homeschool if I have to.
