Thank you for asking our thoughts about the vaccine mandates for children in Virginia.

Even though I believe in vaccinating for childhood diseases, these vaccines are different than our typical vaccines and there is just not enough safety data out there to know if they are safe for our children.  Children have a low risk of being seriously ill with covid and we should not be putting them at risk until more long-term studies show they are safe.

We should not use fear mongering & intimidation to force parents to have their children vaccinated with the MRNA vaccines.  Sadly, there's more emotion instead of logic and facts being used in discussing the covid vaccines.

The MRNA vaccines have already shown to produce adverse effects on children, such as heart damage, and those parents  whose children got those vaccines were told those vaccines were safe & effective too.  

According to some studies, the MRNA vaccines, are not that effective and don't last long enough, causing breakthrough infections, so this would lead to more boosters maybe every few months, and it doesn't even make sense to give them to children who are at low risk anyway.

Since we really don't know what the long-term affects will be on our children, and some children have had adverse reactions short term, especially heart damage from these "safe" vaccines, I believe that he vaccine mandate would be wrong for Virginia.
