| Description | Due to a change in the Code of Virginia, the regulatory authority for these regulations shifted from the Board of Corrections, which no longer exists, to the Director of the Department of Corrections. When the Virginia General Assembly changed authority for the regulations to the Director, enacting language did not allow for the transfer of regulations administratively, therefore, a formal regulatory process is necessary to ensure the regulations are under the proper agency (6VAC16). |
