Section 10.1-603.19 of the Code of Virginia authorizes the director to make loans and grants from the fund to any local public body for the purpose of assisting the local public body in the development and implementation of flood prevention or protection projects, or for flood prevention or protection studies.
Section 10.1-603.18 of the Code of Virginia authorizes the director to promulgate regulations for the administration of the fund.
Loans and grants from the fund shall be made for the purpose of assisting local public bodies in providing matching funds for flood prevention or protection studies or flood prevention or protection projects and activities.
