| Action Summary |
This regulatory action is needed to amend and reissue the existing Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) General Permit Regulation for Concrete Products Facilities. This general permit establishes permitting requirements for discharges of process wastewater and stormwater associated with industrial activity from concrete products facilities classified as North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes, 327331, 327332, 327390, 327320, 327999 (dry mix concrete manufacturing only) and Standard Industrial Classification Codes (SIC) 3271, 3272, and 3273, to surface waters in order to maintain surface water quality.
The existing general permit expires on December 31, 2028, and must be amended and reissued to cover discharges from existing and new concrete products facilities.
