General Information
Action Summary Federal OSHA is amending the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), 1910.1200, to conform to the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), primarily Revision 7, to and provide better alignment with other U.S. agencies and international trading partners. The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is a universal and international standard developed by the United Nations to unify and standardize chemical hazard classification, labeling, and communication worldwide.
