General Information
Action Summary Chapter 356 of the 2022 Acts of Assembly limits the authority of the State Air Pollution Control Board to issuance of regulations, and transfers the board's existing authority to issue permits, orders, and variances to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). Procedures for public comment on pending controversial permits and on regulatory changes necessary to implement the legislation are established. A number of technical corrections are also being made.
