Action Summary This direct final rule is a continuation of federal OSHA’s ongoing effort to update references to consensus and industry standards used throughout its rules. The direct final rule and the accompanying Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) (72 FR 71091) address welding definitions; abrasive wheel specification; floor and wall openings, railings, and toeboards; marking of portable compressed gas cylinders; and spray finishing.
