General Information
| Action Summary |
The purpose of the proposed action is to enlarge the scope of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions control areas in order to include potential new ozone nonattainment areas. This action is being taken to implement a program established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for areas potentially designated as nonattainment under the 8-hour ozone standard. This program enables such areas to avoid the nonattainment designation through early reduction credits. |
