Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects (the Board) has reviewed and voted to repeal the following guidance document that is no longer applicable. The repealed guidance is as follows: 1. Guidance Document 4987: Comity Applicant Criteria of the APELSCIDLA Board's Current Regulations. The purpose of this document is to clarify the application requirements for those persons applying to the Board for licensure or certification via comity based on licensure or certification in a jurisdiction outside of Virginia. The guidance is no longer applicable because it is incorporated into the final Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects Regulations, expected to be adopted by the Board on November 14, 2025.
