The updates to this document (DMAS' Mental Health Services Provider Manual, Chapter 4) (1) reflect the allowance of a DMAS approved Multisystemic Therapy (MST) or Functional Family Therapy (FFT) assessment for services in place of the comprehensive needs assessment and (2) clarify that in-person assessment requirements cannot be met through a comprehensive needs assessment conducted through telemedicine.
