I support the current safety and health regulations, inspections and standards for abortion clinics. Announced inspections have found unsafe conditions, poor or no control over narcotics used for sedation and carried undocumented between clinics, and more. Women expect commonsense medical standards for surgery. With the variances allowed, no abortion clinic has closed due to the current regulations. I have a friend whose daughter died during a 1st trimester abortion. They did not have a working finger meter to measure her pulse and no rescitation equipment on site. We, as women demand the 2012 regulations including ultrasound be kept in place to protect all of us.
