Because Virginia Tech does not require  written consent of the owner for a student in their fourth year to practice medicine on an animal,  I will never take one of my animals to Virginia Tech again.  I don't care where I have to drive I expect a vet to attend my animal not a student . Maybe if you would change your requirements I wouldn't feel so discouraged with your program
