Would never allow an unlicensed student or helper touch my animals.  Why should they be allowed to?  These animals are our children for many of us and no one lets their children be handled by non licensed personnel.  There is something very wrong in this veterinary world if they think it ok to do so.  There are enough idiots running around harming animals without letting students do it as well.
