I strongly support the petition submitted by the Virginia Citizens Defense League requesting a change in the VDOF regulations concerning possession of an otherwise legal forearm in a state forest. These areas are no less likely to attract criminals intent on committing violence than any other place in Virginia. Those of us who have made the committment to be personally responsible for the safety of our families and ourselves must not be prevented from doing so.
