I am a Virginia resident and I oppose this petition. This is just another useless attempt of a one man operation (that does not rescue, shelter, or care for animals) to deny the reality of an overpopulation crisis of animals, both in Virginia and nationwide. Our state's animal shelters current record keeping systems are more than adequate and already available to the public. Our already overburdened shelters need support in focusing on animal care and welfare, not being forced to do unnecessary additional record keeping that will not improve animal care or create more homes. Thank you.
