I am a first year vet tech student looking forward to starting a 400 hour externship this summer. I am getting practice in class, but real practice is necessary for me to learn. How am I supposed to care for animals if I do not get the proper experience? Even when I become a LVT I will still be learning, all that is different is that I can legally practice. LVTs need to be able to learn without this extra burden.
