Animals need to be protected from unskilled hands. Studets need to be ALWAYS supervised when caring for  an animal .Wewould not allow medical students to care for people unless they are fully trained and supervised. Animals are to be protected too. Owner consent needs to be given when SUPERVISED students are working on our beloved pets.
