Opposed!!!

There is no good reason this should be amended or passed. All it will do it create a buerocratic nightmare. Even in human medicine these lengths are not gone to. I went through a distance technician program and had these laws been in place I know I would not have gotten the experience I needed to be the techician I am today. The laws that are in place are already sufficient. The general public is being led to believe that the students are being left alone with their pets to experiment on. This is not the case. A student can not diagnose, treat prescribe, etc etc as already described in the laws. A licenced person is with the student or within easy reach of a student at all times. Any invasive procedure (iv cath etc) is closely monitored. The animal is never placed in a harmful situation for the sake of learning. This is just another fear mongering petition.  Perhaps further education for the public is in order as opposed to more paperwork nightmares for the veterinary community that is stretched thin enough already.  Thank you.
