I'm in full support of this petition.  When an animal is taken for diagnosis and treatment to a veterinary teaching hospital, the owner should be informed and give written consent if students of any year will be involved in the treatment of the animal.  It's vitally important to have transparency and full disclosure of who will be treating the animal, the procedures that will be performed and what kind of supervision there will be during all phases of the animal's care.  Owners have the right to know and should be able to have a say in who will be treating their animals.
