Maintain present standards for abortion clinics

Abortion facilities are outpatient surgery centers, and thus must be governed by reasonable regulations to uphold and enforce basic medical standards for the safety of patients. The government must require reasonable standards to ensure sterility, professionalism, effective emergency procedures and transparent record keeping in medical facilities and abortion facilities should not be excluded. Please continue to maintain the regulations for abortion facilities as they are. Inspections under the present regulations have already revealed unsterilized needles, blood-splattered equipment, and violations of Virginia's mandatory child abuse reporting and parental consent laws.
