Re-Do TRAP Regulations, Keep Clinics OPEN

The politically motivated TRAP regulations that do nothing to "help protect" women are eggregious and unecessary.  Standard regulations for all outpatient health centers suit abortion clinics just fine.  The size of an awning, parking lot or janitorial closet do NOTHING to "protect" women as the proponents of the TRAP laws suggest.  If that were the case, those "pro-life" people would be insisting that ALL outpatient clinics be regulated as such, like Oral Surgery offices, Plastic Surgery offices...even genral practitioner offices where minor, yet routine care is given.  But THOSE "lives" don't seem to matter as much as abortion clinics where people who do not like abortion, insist upon closing all clinics in the guise of "protecting women" when it is the opposite they will do.

Texas is living proof of how TRAP laws do NOT help women, but force them to seek out other alternatives to terminate pregnancies.  Going to flea markets to obtain abortifacents or crossing the border to seek care in Mexico.  Virginia women deserve better and TRAP laws will not be the medium from which they will receive proper, safe care.

I urge you to redo the TRAP legislation and let Virginia's clinics stay open.
