Immigrant policy change

The policy concerning the method used to calculate income for assistance units for the SNAP program should be changed.  Income should count in it's entirity.  Over the years I have observed many instances where the only members remaining in the AU are minor children.  The only reason the case was eligible was because the ineligible immigrants income was deemed to the children.  If the income had been counted in the entirity and no one in the assistance unit was ineligible the case would have been denied due to excess income.  To continue to evaluate income as it currently stands this is unfair to US citizens and eligible immigrants because they would be determined ineligible under the same income situations.
