Yes, I agree the aliens income should be counted.  It is unfair that US citizens income is counted and to have an alien exempt is unfair.  US citizens have labored in these United States and should have more benefits than Aliens.  Can we go to their countries and reap the same benefits, I think not. Charity starts at home.
