I am in support of the proposal to recognize CNSs as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (ARRN) in Virginia and grant licensure rather than registration. The current process is inconsistent with similar processes in other states across the nation. We have to remember that there are millions of Americans entering the health care system for the first time, we are already seeing a shortage of nurses and providers. Change is needed now.
