Virginia is one of the few states who does not recognize the full scope of practice of APRNs in general, and CNSs in specific.  In many other states CNSs are licensed to prescribe medications, and this should be in their scope in VA as well.  I fully support recognizing CNSs as APRNs and continuing to make regulations that reflect the full training and scope of practice of all APRNs.
