It is an incredible shame the APRNs in the State of Virginia are limited to practice as RNs. In our state, we are also not granted liscensure, only a registration. Because of these regulations, our scope of practice is limited to that of a Registered Nurse, regardless of advanced degree or skill set. Please support the the Changes to registration requirements and practice of clinical nurse specialists. Considering the current healthcare reform environment and the already exisiting limited access to healthcare for many of our citizens, we need to utilize the resources we have in our fine state!
