I support the preservation and location of keeping all the Confederate monuments where they are—and I will do everything in my power to protect them from the ignorant political pandering that is occurring today. Other Southern cities have allowed their statues to be vandalized, torn down. I will not stand for that. The people of Richmond overwhelmingly support them staying where they are.
