Not only are the monuments depictions of history, which cannot be erases, they are works of art and bring visitors and revenue to the City of Richmond. Monument Avenue is known worldwide for its beauty. To alter or otherwise tamper with it would be not only be disastrous monetarily but also aesthetically.  Stop the madness. Leave history and the monuments alone.
