As a longtime member of the Roanoke Valley Dental Association I would like to petition the Virginia Board of Dentistry to consider the Educational Programs of the Roanoke Valley Dental Society for licesure credit requirements.  The lectures are informative and can help keep the local dentist population abreast of advances and new technologies without having to take off time from their practices and travel many miles. Being able to use these meetings as credit towards their continuing educational requirements would also help motivate local dentists to congregate and perhaps encourage them to be more active in the local society.  A more active local dental society can perhaps also advance dental awareness in the general population
