I have been an active member of the Roanoke Valley Dental Society for 20 years.  During this time of membership, I have achieved Fellowship in the AGD, and recognize that the RVDS has consistently provided comparable material to that which qualifies for credit within the Academy.  The benefits of CE are numerous.  The membership of the RVDS has demonstrated this by the sustenance of such a vibrant organization in the absense of being a sponsoring organization for CE.  Members of the RVDS deserve the benefits that other collegues enjoy within comparable organizations.  I believe that it is appropriate for the RVDS to be approved at this time.
