Different organizations have different needs. I recommend the organizations be allowed to meet their needs.

Some organizations need to protect their staff from threats and their first and last name is not safe.  Many will use the first anem only for this purpose.

Other organization want their clients to know their names and hoe to reach them, so they should be allowed to use that information.

The organization should be responsible for the personal information of their employees.  Protecting staff from unlawful harm should be the guide to how staff are identified. The professional credentials should always be displayed prominently.
