I would like to express my support for the removal of last names from nurse (and techs) ID badges to protect our staff.  We live in a small community and I have had nursing staff (including our techs) that have received friend requests through social media from some of our sketchy patients.  With today's technology and the diverse population that is served, our emergency department staff identities need to be limited to first name, last initial to decrease the ability for patients to conduct an internet search.
