To whom it may concern

I am concerned of the effects that this law will have on Virginia’s amateur boxing and mma program. I have trained many places in Virginia and have noticed a negative impact on the youth throughout the gyms in the 757. They are extremely interested in competing and have been held back due to these new laws.Currently due to the rules there are no fights offered in VA. Although safety is the number 1 concern for fighters USA Boxing has implemented the proper rules to protect fighters already. There is no profit made in amateur boxing so the added costs by the state would make it impossible for amateur boxing to exist.  This law will bring a decline in commitment with the athletes as they know that there are limited opportunities to compete.

We ask that you please take these concerns into consideration and APPROVE USA BOXING, INC. as the sanctioning organization for Amateur boxing in the Commonwealth of Virginia and allow this outstanding organization to continue under their present outstanding by-laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
