Concealed Carry Reciprocity

This is a blatant political move by Governor McAuliffe to pay back Bloomberg and others who have supported him while in office. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult for law abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families while traveling through the Commonwealth. In addition, Virginia residents will be presented with the inability to protect themselves while traveling in other states.  The police are only minutes away, but it only takes seconds to be attacked by a criminal.

This move by Herring does nothing to keep citizens safe, as criminals do not have concealed carry permits, nor submit to background checks. In the end, the legislature will correct this during the 2016 session.
