Support Licensed Professionals

There is already a profession with adequate ability to needle, Acupuncturists L.Ac. Needling should not be done with only 54 hours of training. It would be better to support a Licensed Acupuncturist as they are properly trained. The Short Cut to a profession is a danger to the public. For instance people will get relief from any massage, but no doubt a licensed professional is more qualified. Same with Acupuncture. After 54 hours of training I can say that I was not good at acupuncture (dry needling). Once I completed my thousands of hours of training I was competent. I have personally experienced the difference in my own development. Experience the difference. Name another profession where another profession can do the work of another. Can your plumber do your electrical work? Can your landscaper do your heating and cooling? No. They are different professions with different training. Consumers are not aware of the difference and there is a huge one. If you want to get dry needling go to an Acpuncturist. We are not saying to stop the practice of needling or prevent the public from receiving the help they need and deserve; We are saying that they (all of us) deserve the right to proper protection and care from properly trained professionals. May you be well and in good health. Remember, this is about improving peoples lives.
