Support Dry Needling

I work in a PT clinic. I am a witness as to the favorable results of both dry needling and physical therapy techniques combined. Our patients constantly talk about the improvements this treatment has made in their lives and they have referred other patients for the same course of treatment. I know that our therapists have spent many hours in training and education.  I have not personally received dry needling as it was not warranted for my condition, but if I did receive therapy and dry needling would be recommended I would definitely pursue it. I have all the confidence in the training and education the therapists have received and I know they are only trying to increase my recovery to the fullest  potential possible. As a patient/medical representative I feel the medical provider's should have the opportunity to use dry needling and other methods as long as they have received the education and training to help the patient's outcome. This should not be a fight between acupuncturist and physical therapists, this should be a fight to help the patients.
